In Red Alert 3, the desperate leadership of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time to change history and restore the glory of Mother Russia. YX and I went to Shaw Lido @ 11.30pm to queue up for the much anticipated newest C&C game, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.

The line was already starting to hatch and in the nursery stage.. We got there kinda early but seeing that the queue was quite long, we decided to wait it out.. Then an hour later, the queue stretched amazingly long till it circled around the whole 5th floor of Lido and curved at a column and up to where the theatres were!

Well, guess YX was right and I kinda miscalculated, I admit, I totally underestimate the C&C fans in Singapore.. It was amazing, when the event was about to launch, the news crew of Mediacorp came and they did interviews of some of the fans.

Derrick was there! My long time best friend from primary & secondary school.. We chatted about the game n crazy stuffs that happened in school.. Hm.. But I was still surprised to know that he pre-ordered.. Hahaha..

Finally at 2pm sharp, the entrance to the counters and PCs for matches opened and we were off to line up and choose our allegiance.. The Global Defence Initiative or the Brotherhood of Nod. Seems like the GDI pack was in HUGE demand while Nod had a measly number of followers..

After that, we went to eat at KFC and off to Kinokuniya we go! I wanted to get Oxide 2X (adds up to Oxygen basically) but didn't have enough money.. Not to worry, next time I will make a trip there to get it! Its an artbook by Hyung Tae Kim which covers the art of Magna Carta: Tears of Blood and other Magna Carta games in the series.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is out! Those who pre-ordered were present at the Shaw Lido C&C3 launch event this afternoon..

C&C3 contains 3 factions, the GDI (Global Defence Initiative), the Brotherhood of Nod and the new side called the Scrin (aliens basically).

EA Singapore held the event, the game comes with alot of worthy goodies for the hardcore that pre-ordered. To pre-order, one has to go to any Challenger, Comics Connection or other media-related stores and buy the pre-order card which costs $79.90. You have the choice between the GDI or the Nod faction. Each faction had their own goodie bag, the only differences are the mouse pads, dog-tags and the T-shirts.

The bag includes:
- 1 COMMAND & CONQUER 3: TIBERIUM WARS -KANE EDITION- (game)
- 1 GDI or Nod T-shirt
- 1 GDI or Nod dog-tag
- 1 GDI or Nod mouse pad
- 1 Razor Mantis mouse pad (worth $39.90), and
- 1 exclusive poster for the 1st 300 in the queue

The year is 2047A.D., the Earth is infected with a resource which is a gift and a curse called Tiberium, from its debut since 1995 when a strange meteor landed near the Tiber river in Italy, the resource has been spreading fast and like a plague ever since. Tiberium is a self-replicating, highly valuable substance that countries world-wide wants a share of it. However, there is a side effect to this important source of income. The radiation that emits from the Tiberium crystals is capable of mutating and killing any life-form it touches, making it a dangerous substance.

The GDI, formed under a wide selection of countries under the umbrella of the UN, has 2 objectives, to stop the rise of the Brotherhood of Nod whose vision is to speed up the growth of Tiberium, and to help stop the spread of Tiberium growth.

Currently, the Earth is split up into 3 zones, Red, Yellow and Blue zones, each representing the amount of contamination caused by Tiberium.

Red Zones:
These made up 30% of the Earth's surface, its so thickly packed with Tiberium that it is totally inhabitable for any life-form whatsoever.

Yellow Zones:
70% of the Earth's surface are Yellow Zones. These areas are semi-habitable and Nod recruits its army from these areas, promising that it will bring wealth and aid to the poor and needy.

Blue Zones:
The remaining 20% are the Blue Zones, these zones are completely untouched by the green crystals and are the only remaining civilisations under the protection of the GDI.

The 3rd Tiberium War starts off when Nod launches a nuclear attack on the Orbital Space Station Philadelphia. Kane is apparently not dead and has rise once more to power, rounding up the Nod army and counter-attacking on the GDI-protected areas. With the anti-missile and intel systems down, GDI is pitted into a vigorous struggle to stay alive. You have been assigned to command the troops of the GDI army to gain back foothold of the North-Eastern Seaboard of the United States and to push back the Nod forces to whence it came...

This is my list of recommended animes that I'm currently watching or have watched! Its going to be a long ride!

Naruto: Shippuden

(Currently airing. Formerly known as just "Naruto")

Naruto has come a long way and due to a sad fact that there was a long season of fillers after the end of Naruto of the pass, many people "left" and stopped watching this amazing ninja anime.

Now, Naruto's back with Naruto: Shippuden! 2.5 years later, Akatsuki reappears and attacks the Sand village! Gaara, now Kazekage steps up and protects his village from Deidara, the clay bomb-making member.

On the other side, in the Leaf village, Naruto's back from his training with Jiraiya and teams up with Sakura to participate in a test to measure their skills, and the test is.. Same objective as the first ever training that they went through, steal the bells from Kakashi...

Naruto is fun to watch and can truly pull you in because of unexpected moves and intelligently planned out tactics on the battlefield. I like Sasuke's and Shikamaru's battles, those were one of the best few in this anime!

Bleach

(Currently airing.)

The method that I went through to get to know this anime was rather.. weird? I just see a torrent link called "Bleach" and just download it.. And it turned out to be a great anime!

The Shinigamis or God of Deaths have been protecting Earth for a very long time and the enemy? Soul eating creatures called "Hollow" which cannot be seen by the naked eye. Identified by a large black hole in the middle of their body, these creatures eat the souls of those who have not been "spirited away" to Soul Society by the Shinigamis.

Kurosaki Ichigo, aged 15, can see things which humans can't. These things are souls that have been wandering around after they died. His fate changed when he met Kuchiki Rukia, a Shinigami sent to defeat the Hollows on Earth, and have been fighting them ever since...

Another action anime, with characters like Ishida and Ichigo, the battles are never boring!

D.Gray-Man

(Currently airing)

An alternate ending of the 20th century Europe, Akuma (demon) plagues the land and Exorcists are trained to wipe them out and save the souls that have been trapped into them.

Exorcists, people with special abilities and are in-synchronisation with an object called "Innocence". These Innocence allows them to activate their weapons to help them in their fight against the demons.

Both Exorcists and the demons are out hunting for Innocence, both having the aim of getting the object to hinder each other.

This anime is nice to watch, there are really "no-link" and funny moments during battles. Some fillers once in a while are present to liven up the mood of this rather dark anime of demons, vampires and destroyed cities.

Death Note

(Currently airing.)

What if you have the power of the Gods? Would you use it for fun? Use it for Justice? Or use it for your own selfish desires?

On a normal school day, Yagami Light found a book called the "Death Note" in the school grounds and brought it home to test it out. He thought that it was ridiculous at first.. Write a person's name in the Death Note while having the image of his face in your mind and he will die after 40 seconds. It later turned out to be true when he tried it out on someone!

He then met Ryuk, the owner of this Death Note and have been killing criminals ever since in the name of Justice, but the police have a different view, killing is still killing be it in the name of good or of evil. Because of the severity of the crime, "L" has been called in to help solve this case since he had solved 2 extremely mysterious and difficult cases just like this one.

The animation is rather top-notch! I like it especially when Light writes people's names down! XD who in the world writes like that!?

xxxHolic

Wakanuki, a high school student that is able to see the supernatural and is the supernatural being "magnet"! One day he met with a beautiful woman called Yuuko who uses the title "Fortune Teller" as a façade, but in actual fact, she is a witch that can grant your wishes!

For every wish there is a price to pay unfortunately, and the price of cause is to give her your most valuable item. It can be anything! Memories of your loved one, your most valuable sword.. Even your most valuable tattoo! Those who watched Tsubasa Chronicle will know what I'm talking about! XD

Yes the graphics isn't nice and the animation is borderline, but what really made this anime interesting and stand out is because of its story.. Some superstitions, mysteries and the supernatural are shown in the anime. Its definitely worth the watch!

Tsubasa Chronicle

Syaoran and Sakura are archaeologist and princess of Clow country respectively. A mysterious ruin was recently found near the country and Syaoran is in charge of investigating it. Sakura is the princess of the country and Syaoran's childhood friend (from the anime, Sakura really likes Syaoran and almost confessed when "that" happened..).

One night, Sakura could feel someone calling her. She went into a trance after that and went to the ruin. Syaoran noticed and chased after her. Then when Sakura touched a huge strange round symbol on the ground, she stood in mid air, wings appeared behind her back and the feathers of these wings dispersed into many different directions. Her life was in danger and by now, strange people in cloaks started to attack Clow.

The King and High Priest came to the site to help defend against the invaders. Immediately after examining Sakura, the high priest told Syaoran that the wings were actually Sakura's soul and memories. He sent them to the "Dimensional Witch" (see xxxHolic) Yuuko.

Tokyo, Japan, he was teleported in front of Yuuko. In the meantime, Kurogane and Fay also appear through teleportation. Each of them have their own objectives but were fated to travel with each other. Each of them has to pay a price in order to travel through dimensions (again, see xxxHolic). Kurogane gave his family Heirloom, a dragon sword passed down through generations. Fay gave his tattoo on his back, and Syaoran and Sakura gave away the memories of Sakura which contain those moments together with Syaoran and they are off to travel through different worlds in order to retrieve all of Sakura's feathers.

A long story overview this one had.. The animations are top-notch especially the battles and environments! A great watch!

Air Gear

An adaptation of "Oh Great!"'s manga also the artist for Tenjou Tenge.

A special roller skating shoe called "Air Trek" is currently the trend, it has the speed, manoeuvrability and you can fly while riding them! Everyone has them! Its so "big" that there are tournaments between gangs and even territories owned by these gangs! Each gang has their own Emblem and they use their Emblems in battle, putting their gang's name and reputation on the line! Once an Emblem is lost to an opponent, the gang will have to split up and not to Air Trek anymore.

Ikki, an adopted student living together with his "sisters" loves to Air Trek but due to various reasons that his sisters have, he isn't allowed to own one. His sisters were actually part of the legendary ex-group called the "Sleeping Forest" and in order to keep him safe, he is not allowed to Air Trek. But due to his stubbornness, he still owned one in the end and has been defeating opponents ever since!

The animation suffered for this one.. I expected more speed and thrill since its a skating/action anime but there's funny moments especially Bucha's insanely long move names! XD If this anime didn't have sexy babes such as Simca, I might not have watch it till the end.
