Ever played Shining Force developed by the creators of Golden Sun, Camelot Software Planning, back in the day on the Mega Drive / Genesis, Sega CD and Sega Saturn?
Well, the "Shining" series of games especially the "Shining Force" series immersed me very heavily into its fantasy setting of Villages & Castles, Kings & Queens, Warriors, Knights, Archers, Paladins, Mages & Wizards and Legendary Swords of Chaos Breaker & Force Sword. One of the 1st few pioneer batches of the Turn-Based Strategy Genre that uses the grid-based gameplay with very simple basic commands like Attack, Item, Magic and Stay. Although it was easy to play, it sure was addictive as well. Anyway, this is a tribute to the Shining Force of old. Hopefully Sega will wake up from its Action RPG dream from the likes of "Shining Force Neo" & "EXA" and continue to produce "Shining Force" the way it was meant to be. I didn't touch SF3 too because I don't have a Saturn :~(... I would love to try it! Heard it was the best SF in the series.

and no point in playing only one of the three parts...
I still dream of sega waking up and making some outstanding SF SRPG for newer consoles...

Its a shame really that SF3 have to be cancelled abruptly 1/3 of the way. Way to go Sega for ruining themselves.
Seems like a distant dream, its like waiting for Square Enix to do a FFVII remake!
